Sublimation
Sublimation is a grand thing. For the last few days, I've headed to the gym, and either worked out and gone swimming, or just worked out. Yesterday was 300 calories worth of cross trainer, after which I was too tired to swim. I also had a free consultation with a personal trainer who, for a small fortune, will help me whip my saggy tush into shape, shedding pounds like sweat drops on a hot summer's day along the way. Between that and staying reasonably on program, I should be able to break free of the evil plateau and feel better about myself. I have decided that exercize actually DOES produce endorphins, a fact I had doubted and perviously thought was a figment of crazy jogger imaginations. The other day I went to the gym and worked my tail off--this being the day I felt like I would be fat forever, and kept bursting into tears every time I was alone. Afterwards I actually felt not only more or less back to normal, but almost a little bit good. Not a bad accomplishment. The other accomplishment was seeing 212 on the scale. The grief chocolate pounds are starting to leave after all my renewed physical activity.
